Guardian.
The severe-weather add-on to your Anchor Plan. When a named storm event is on the forecast, Anchor comes out ahead of the event and after it, to harden what can be hardened, document what the storm did, and coordinate a specialist if the storm caused real damage. Available as an annual subscription alongside your Anchor Plan, or as a season-only subscription active only during the at-risk months for your area.
A relationship with the weather, not a one-time fix.
Every market Anchor serves has its own severe-weather season. Winter storms, ice events, spring hail, summer wind, hurricane season depending on the geography. Substantial older homes, with slate roofs, mature trees near the structure, heavy gutters, or original windows, have a relationship with that weather, not a one-time fix. Guardian is built for that.
Guardian is the add-on for subscribers who want a person at the house before the storm, and a person at the house after, without having to make the phone call at 6 AM in a power outage.
How Guardian works.
-
Forecast watch
Anchor monitors the forecast for named events, winter storms, wind advisories, severe thunderstorms, hail, and tropical weather where applicable, across the subscriber service area. When an event crosses the threshold, Guardian subscribers get a heads-up email with Anchor's plan for their property.
-
Pre-storm property check
Ahead of the event, Anchor visits the property and does what can be done in the window: clear downspouts, secure loose items, confirm shutoffs are accessible, clear drainage paths, note anything that could become a problem. The condition is documented. A written pre-event summary is filed to your record.
-
During the event
Anchor is reachable by phone or text during severe-weather windows. If a power outage or a tree-down is affecting your house, we know, because Guardian subscribers are on the active-event list.
-
Post-storm property check, priority window
Within the priority window after the event clears, Anchor attends to the property. The roof visual, the gutters, the tree canopy, the drainage, the exterior envelope, any leak evidence inside. A documented record of the property's post-event condition is filed to your Home Anchor.
-
Coordination if needed
If the storm caused real damage that needs a licensed trade, roof, tree, electrical, structural, Anchor recommends a vetted specialist at a pre-negotiated rate, coordinates the work, and handles the insurance documentation. You pay the specialist directly. The specialist's referral fee to Anchor is 100% credited back to your account on the next month's invoice. Anchor earns nothing on the project.

Guardian is a documentation-and-response service, not a replacement for the trades that do the work. Snow plowing and routine seasonal winter service are already part of the Anchor Plan.
Two ways to add Guardian.
Guardian requires an active Anchor Plan subscription. It's not a standalone service. Subscribers add it during or after their Entry Visit, and can switch between the annual and seasonal structures at any time.
Annual Guardian
A flat monthly add-on layered on top of your existing Anchor Plan tier, billed every month of the year. Guardian coverage is continuous, so a storm that lands in July is handled the same way as a storm in January. This is the option most subscribers choose.
Season-only Guardian
Billed only during the at-risk months for your area, and paused outside the season. Higher per-month rate during the active months, nothing in the off-season. Re-enrollment is automatic each season unless cancelled. A good fit for properties whose storm exposure is clearly seasonal, coastal homes during hurricane season, mature-tree properties during winter storm season.
Annual Guardian is the default recommendation in markets where severe weather can land in any month. Season-only Guardian is recommended in markets where the at-risk months are clearly bounded.
Common questions.
How fast is "priority" after a storm?
Most post-storm property checks happen within 24 hours of the event clearing. For named events affecting the whole service area, Guardian subscribers are sequenced first, before the rest of the monthly visit schedule.
Will you come out during the storm?
Rarely. On-foot exterior work during active severe weather is unsafe, and Anchor won't do unsafe work. What we will do during the event is be reachable by phone or text, talk you through anything immediate, and, if a safe intervention is possible, come out when it is.
What if a tree falls on my house at 2 AM?
Call 911 first if anyone is in danger or the power lines are involved. Then call Anchor. A member of the team is reachable day and night during active severe-weather windows. The tree service, the roofer, and the insurance documentation are coordinated from there, and a documented record of the scene is filed to your Home Anchor.
Should I pick annual or season-only?
Annual is the default recommendation in markets where severe weather can land in any month. Season-only is a fit for properties whose storm exposure is clearly bounded to a specific window, hurricane season in coastal markets, winter storm season in snow-belt markets. We'll recommend one based on your property and your location on the Entry Visit.
Can I switch between annual and season-only later?
Yes. Switch at any time. If you switch from annual to seasonal mid-year, billing pauses the month after the storm season ends. If you switch from seasonal to annual, billing continues on the flat monthly rate.
Can I add Guardian later?
Yes, add it any time. For annual Guardian the coverage starts the day it's added. For season-only Guardian, we'd recommend adding it before the leading edge of your area's storm season if you want to capture the full window.
