How Anchor handles your data.
A plain-language summary of what Anchor collects, what it does with it, and, just as importantly, what it refuses to do with it. A full written privacy policy is being finalized with counsel and will live here when ready. In the meantime, this page is the honest version of what you need to know.
Information Anchor holds about you.
- Contact information, your name, phone number, email, and property address. Used to deliver service and stay in touch.
- Property information, photos, observations, systems data, access credentials, and visit history we collect in the course of servicing your home.
- Billing information, a card on file, held and processed by Square. Anchor does not store full card numbers on its own systems.
- Website analytics, aggregated, anonymized analytics (via Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Microsoft Clarity) that help us understand how people use the site. We do not use this data to build profiles of individual prospects.
Customer data commitments.
- Anchor does not sell customer data. Not to insurers, not to home-service marketplaces, not to data aggregators, not ever.
- Anchor does not share customer data. We do not anonymize and resell, we do not aggregate, and we do not package data for third-party use.
- Anchor does not build marketing profiles. Your information is used to serve you, not to be targeted or re-targeted across the web.
- The Home Anchor record is yours. You can request a full export at any time, and we deliver it in a standard format. On cancellation, the full archive is delivered automatically, you don't have to ask.
Security and access control.
Home Anchor records are stored in Anchor's Google Workspace, scoped per subscriber, restricted to Anchor personnel with two-factor authentication enforced on every account. Sensitive access credentials, lockbox codes, smart-lock PINs, security-system codes, are stored in a separate encrypted credential manager, used only on the day of a visit, and logged with a date and time of every access.
No third-party vendor has general access to customer records. Where we use service providers (Square for billing; Google Workspace for documents; Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for website analytics), we do so under their published terms and only for the purpose stated above.
Exports, deletions, and questions.
To request a copy of your data, correct information we hold about you, or delete your account and data entirely: email the Anchor office at logan@alwaysanchor.com or call (216) 390-3600. We respond within one business day. We don't require a formal process or a specific form, just a note that identifies you.
This page will be replaced with a complete privacy policy once counsel has reviewed it. The commitments above will hold either way.
